Description:

Look for us by my car a row or two down from the fee box. Sunset is 8:18 and the moonrise is 8:17. I plan to take trail 17 and 4 to catch the main trail to the summit. We will take the main trail (#1) back to the parking lot. Email me at jbjacobsen@comcast.net if you have questions.

Trip Report

We didn't have to wait long after the 8:18pm sunset to see the moon appear above the foothills. Before we started down, Rick Ahrens helped us identify a plane that looked like a planet and then directed our attention to a real planet. The lights of Eugene, the chirps of the cricket, and the cooler temperature made for a pleasant descent.
