Description:

Great hike through old growth. Passes forest service shelter on the way to the top with a view of the Willamette drainage. Wild flowers got a late start this year so we could have a good show.

Trip Report

Beautiful day for a hike. The two participant had never hiked this trail before so this added interest for all of us. We had wildflowers and great views of the 3 Sisters and Broken Top. I have done this hike many time so was surprised at the note left at Wolf Shelter. “Black bear seen at this shelter on June 16th at 2pm.” We did not see this bear. But we think we saw it’s leaving along the trail. I thought horse but no hay just little bits of green grass. It is a mystery.
