Iris Ridge is part of the Eugene Ridgeline trail. It was part of an old farm. The trails use the preexisting ranch roads. They are gravel and well graded. Early in the spring the roads are lined with iris’s. We will see some wildflowers. This trails gives a good view of the coast range and Fernridge Reservoir. Starting early with the intent of missing the heat. We should be done by 11:30. The pace will be relaxed with chances to take in the views.

Trip Report

8:00 am is the right time for this hike when temperatures are warm. Beautiful morning, with good views of coast range. The surprise was the yellow and pink wildflowers that decorated the sunny slopes. We were done by 10:30 and moving on to the rest of our day.
