Description:

This is a beach walk described in Sullivan's "OR Coast" book. Starting at Baker Beach, a few miles north of Florence, we'll explore Lily's Lake and then walk along the ocean to Sutton Creek where we'll have lunch and then return.

Trip Report

Could not have asked for better summer beach weather. We thought we were getting foggy and windy, we got clear and sunny. We walked nonstop for one hour to the south. We stopped for a snack and water and to just enjoy having the beach mostly to ourselves. We returned via the same route. On the way back from the beach we surprised a doe and her 2 spotted fawns running across our trail back into the woods. We then went into Florence for lunch at a very nice pub called, Home Grown and the ride home.
