Trip Report

We started the day at Paradise Campground where we set up a shuttle for our hike along the McKenzie River. We started the hike at Deer Creek on a chilly but sunny fall day. We hiked at a brisk pace along the beautiful McKenzie with many trees beginning to change color. For lunch, we stopped at Diane's cabin which was toasty warm. Lunch was followed by ice cream sundaes. A fun treat for all us-three flavors of ice cream, two choices of toppings, whipped cream and nuts. We continued on the trail and crossed the new bridge at Lost Creek. Brad was involved with re-building the bridge, with the Scorpions. We were fascinated with the logistics of the project and appreciative of all of the work done by the Scorpions. We ended the day at Paradise - a great group of people and a great day.
