Trip Report

The rain predicted came late. We were able to enjoy the sunny day, with few people for a Saturday. The measuring post, not far from the parking lot, indicates a base of 4 ft deep. Plenty to play in but we really need at least twice as much snow for a healthy forest. The Mountainview Shelter is nicely stocked with firewood. Gray Jays are always there hoping to get a hand out. Trail conditions are good. Signage is good. Blue diamonds are well placed to mark the paths. If you forget your snow park pass, you can buy 1 at the bicycle shop in Oakridge.
