Description:

We leave LCC Nd drive to snow park area at Salt Creek Falls. There is a good bathroom here. We put on SShoes and start along road that leads into Salt Creek Falls but will turn off at a blue diamond trail that leads above Salt Creek. We will not see the falls. We will continue along a loop trail with some good views of both Salt and Diamond Creek Canyons. As we approach upper Diamond Creek Falls we will have a chance to consider the lower Diamond Creek trail. This is a short but steep branch of the main trail. After the falls we finish the loop rejoin the road and head back to the cars. Car pool fee, 13.50.

Trip Report

A gorgeous day for a snowshoe trip. A few inches of new snow, sun and bright blue sky. A great group that completely enjoyed the day. We took our time taking pictures, taking in the canyons and one tiny water fall. Diamond Creek water fall Is good size and looks like a large water slide. The temperature when we started was around 30 degrees. By the time we reached the falls everything was melting. We arrived back at the cars just a little damp but feeling good.
