Description:

This is an afternoon hike. We'll travel through all 3 sections of the park. In the Native Plant garden there are 2 new "pollinator baths" (birds welcome), in the Rhododendren garden we'll check out what's in bloom and explore some of my favorite "nurse logs", and in the Forest we'll pick up some mileage. There will be ups and downs in the paths and likely some mud. Easy pace!

Trip Report

Excellent weather for visiting 2 gardens and a forest. We compared "nurse logs" in the 3 different areas - our favorite was in the Rhododendron garden. Even though it's technically still winter, it looked, smelled, and felt like spring.
