Description:

This is a great hike through some giant fir trees to an old fire lookout with spectacular views of the cascades. It involves about 23 miles total of driving on gravel road number 1993. The trail itself is clear of obstructions all the way to the summit.
We'll start at the Pat Saddle Trailhead, make the short side trip to Wolverine Lake, and plan on having lunch at the summit. For a more detailed description, see William Sullivan's hike #68 in his Central Oregon Cascades hiking book.
Please read the Covid-19 protocols on the Obsidian website prior to the hike. Participants will manage their own transportation.
