Description:

Davies Nettlton Loop is located north of Corvallis. It's part fire road and part trail through hills, old growth forest and has great views according to All Trails. Its a part of the OSU McDonald Forest. I've not been, looking forward to checking it out. Clear weather hopefully, prepare for muddy parts. Leaving from South Eugene High School for those living in this area. Taking highway 99 now, to meet with second group at Jerry's home improvement on highway 99 (2600 hwy 99) at 9:20 am for those that live closer to that area.

We'll adhere to Covid protocols with mask and distancing. Also please arrange rides before arriving at the high school.

Trip Report

What a beautiful fall hike! A cold but sunny day greeted us. The OSU / McDonald Forest trail system was new trail experience for all members today! Everyone agreed it was a great discovery and worth future exploring. The fall leaves were especially impressive. Our guest Heather (and hopefully future member), was warmly welcomed by all.
