Description:

Feel free to bring binoculars. We will try to cover all the trails that circle the ponds. I will add meeting place after I decide on which one I want to start at. It will be added by Thursday evening,1/7/21. Meet behind Valley River at the bike bridge. We will then move on to the end of Robin Hood street. This is a little hard to find. Any questions please call.

Trip Report

Beautiful day to enjoy Delta Ponds trail. Starting behind Valley River we walked along the usual path until we reached a path between the apartments that allowed use to walk to the north trailhead and take the trail back along the pond. What was fun to see was the Heron’s sitting high in the cottonwoods. You could see the stick nests they were building. There were probably 10 herons or more standing at the tops of these very tall trees. We made it over the bridge and back to the cars in 2 and half hours.
