Meet at the Willamette & 52nd Trailhead parking lot, the gravel lot on Willamette Street. You can also park on 52nd Street.

Trip Report

Our group met at the Willamette & 52nd Trailhead parking lot on a beautifil spring morning. We broke into 2 groups. Pat, Clara, Joanna, and Mark met at the main trailhead to clean the steps and kiosk and tend the fawn lilies that are getting ready to bloom at the trailhead. They also cleaned the kiosk at Willamette & 52nd.

The rest of our group, Larry, Dave, Dan, Naith, Andrew, and I, hiked along Blanton Ridge to clean the drainage ditches and cutback sword ferns and slough piling up on the uphill side of the trail. We cleaned 4 sets of ditches and culverts and cleaned about 100 yards of slough. We enjoyed seeing wildflowers starting to bloom including hounds tongue. Thanks go to Dave Preedeek for answering my questions about which flowers were blooming.
