Description:
Diamond Peak is a good introduction to non-technical snow climbing. At 8750 ft, it is the tallest mountain in the Willamette Pass area. We will be climbing via the Pioneer Gulch route, which is 8 miles round trip and almost 4,000 ft of elevation gain.

Supplies and Equipment Required: You will need an ice axe, crampons, day pack with proper clothing (several non-cotton layers) and food and water (min of 2 liters) for a long day on the mountain.
