Members and Guests welcome on this grand tour and also to visit the Lodge. Check out the new fence at the Obsidian Lodge. Walk the Ribbon Trail circuit around the Lodge up to 30th and Spring to see the Laurel Estates Development and another Obsidian fence. Trip Report

John and I combined the Grand Fence Tour with eight members and the Get Acquainted hike with five guests for spirited conversation about the Club and a hike on the Ribbon Trail. Members were the gracious hosts welcoming the new Eugene residents and offering tips on how to get signed up for trips. The fence received enthusiastic comments. It was a companionable gathering and fun for all. The guests found out how to contact me about a Get Acquainted hike when they registered for online access and received the welcome email with their password. In previous years guests found out about the GA hike from friends, Register Guard, the Y Bulletin Board and a flyer on the Obsidian home page. We need to schedule more this summer.
