Description:

The Tie Trail is open on week-ends so we can see the continuing repair. We should have a shady ascent and reach the top by 7:45. Sunset is at 8:50 so we plenty of time to avoid hiking back to our cars in the dark. Moonrise is 3:22 pm.

Trip Report

Starting our hike two hours before sunset, we had a shady ascent to check out the continuing repair on the Tie Trail. We lingered on top to enjoy the breeze, the views and the moon already high in the sky. We had another view of the moon back at the trailhead as the sun was setting. (Moonrise was at 3:22 pm)
