Description:

This hike takes off from the Devil's lake trailhead so it's a bit of a drive and the route to the top is an off trail steep scramble but it has great views. I'd like to stop for dinner after the hike. Either the Mountain House Kitchen at Crescent Lake Junction or the Hilltop Grill in Pleasant Hill.

Trip Report

This was a great day for a hike. We had mild temperatures, partly cloudy skies, no mosquitoes, and amazingly smoke free views of the Cascades from the summit of The Wife. After our 10 mile hike some of us stopped at the Elk Lake Resort for a very relaxing drink and dinner from their beautiful patio overlooking Elk Lake.
