Description:

This is a loop hike that takes us by Karen, Yoran, Lils, Hidden and Midnight Lakes along with many smaller no name lakes. We will stop at Karen or Lils lake for lunch. We should have views of Diamond Peak. This will be a moderate pace hike.
A section that we used to have to navigate through the woods from Yoran to Lils is now an established trail put in by the Forest Service.

Trip Report

Because the bridge across Trapper Creek is still closed, group bushwhacked through the woods on other side of Trapper Creek to intersect the Whitefish trail which connects to the Yoran Lake Trail. It was a beautiful fall day with mild enough temperatures that Kathie Carpenter swam in Lils Lake at our lunch break (yeah Kathie!). Because everyone was interested in seeing even the lakes that were not right on the trail, we took the side paths to them - Hidden and Midnight. This along with bushwhacking through the woods ended up making the hike 13 miles instead of 12 according to my GPS.
