Description:

This annual urban hike will take us through South Eugene to the Ridgeline Trailhead on 52nd and Willamette. We will hike up a short distance then veer off on the Maintenance spur and go through hidden parts of town (and a new housing development!), as we wend our way down to the Amazon Creek headwaters before heading back to where we started. We will go at a moderate pace.

Trip Report

Sunshine greeted 13 of us as we headed out from Amazon Park, through Tugman Park, and up to the Ridgeline Trailhead on 52nd and Willamette St. After a short hike up, we veered off on the spur trail and made our way down to the Amazon Headwaters near Martin St. Members and non-members enjoyed chatting while walking along the bark path back to where we started. It's always fun to show people new in-town routes to explore.
