Description:

We will try to do both lower and upper sections of trail. If conditions allow this the length of the hike is closer to 5 miles. After all the rain the falls should put on a good show. If there is interest and the the is right we might go into Florence for lunch. This is to be determined at end of hike by those who are interested.

Trip Report

A true rain forest hike. Foggy, misty, fine rain and lots of drips from the trees.

Muddy trail, slick rocks and roots. The creek itself was full and fans fast. Lots of white water. Water falls were full. Noted a small group of people waving on other side of creek. I have never been there so we all wondered how they got there. On the way back down the trail a member of our party slipped on some wet rocks requiring a little first aid. I decided to forget about upper section of trail and lunch in Florence. It was a very soggy day.
