Description:

We will start at the beginning of second leg of trail and continue into the third section as far as we like before retracing our steps back to our cars. This trail follows the river through a mixed forest that has been recently thinned in the last couple of years. Be prepared for muddy trail and dripping trees.

Trip Report

Drove out of the fog at Westfir. Sunny and beautiful for the rest of the day. Trail as usual this time of year, muddy. Per a request from the Scorpions, I counted the downed trees. Took pictures and will send them of shortly. Not too bad, 4-5 in first 2 miles. All easily gotten over. The river was full and fast. Sandra's first time on trail. We spent a good 40 minutes enjoying lunch in the sun on the bridge. Very good day over all.
