Trip Report

Our group met with City staff Marlon to work on the neighborhood connector trail West of the lodge. We had a variety of tasks to undertake during expected half-days' work. We scraped away soil and gravel from a short section of the trail sending the spoils a short distance downhill to create a berm to stop the water flow from a rolling drain dip. Meanwhile Jim used a pick to break up the compacted gravel in a wide section of the trail to thin it out sending the spoils uphill to create a solid gravel base for the short section of trail we had just cleared. Pat and Clara spread mulch over the area that Jim exposed to blend it in with the re-vegetated area that local neighbors had worked on. We then capped the short section of trail with gravel that Marlon brought.

We greatly enjoyed the extremely rich brownies that Janet provided.
