Description:

For our first Wednesday evening outing on our summer schedule we will continue our project from last month...replacing the handrails on the 2 bridges.

Meet at the Fox Hollow Trailhead parking lot, the gravel lot across Fox Hollow from the Cascade Raptor Center.

Trip Report

Our group of volunteers met Marlon from the City for our first Wednesday evening outing of our summer schedule. We were going to continue our project from the last outing and replace the railings on the 2 bridges near the Fox Hollow trailhead. Our group loaded up with tools and hiked up to the work site. We removed the old posts and railings before starting to replace them. Our group took turns using the tools to install the posts and railings. Special thanks go to Dan Gilmore for going home to get additional tools to help finish up the installation portion of the project. After a successful project we returned to the cars to enjoy snacks and juice provided by Janet Jacobsen.
