Description:

The loop located across from Clear Lake has one of the best views of the Three Sisters on a clear day. The trip also includes views of Mt. Washington and Three Fingered Jack. The route follows both forest service roads and trail. Drivers, need sno park permit.

Trip Report

Another beautiful day in the mountains. Perfect snowshoe conditions. Temperature in the low thirties when we started under clear sunny skies with about 2 inches of new snow. You could see the new snow under the trees where it had not been melted and refrozen. Very leisurely lunch in the sun with a view of the Three Sisters. This trip was new to several and enjoyed by all. Back to the cars by 1:30. The temperature never got out of the thirties.
