Trip Report

After driving out of foggy Eugene, eleven Obsidians enjoyed a sweet snowshoe excursion with blue skies and great views. Shortly after we crossed the bridge at the start of Diamond Creek Falls Trailhead, we came to a smaller creek that had no bridge. We crossed at the point where the trail meets the creek and had to carefully step on a couple of logs and up a steep part of the bank. On our way back, we found a better and safer crossing about 25 feet upstream. Two carloads stopped at DQ in Oakridge on our way home.
