Description:

For this month's outing we'll be in a park we haven't been to in a while, Wild Iris Ridge, clearing drainage.

Meet at the Wild Iris Ridge Trailhead parking lot, the gravel lot on Bailey Hill Road. Work party goes from 9-12 am.

Trip Report

Our group met on a standard Oregon Spring morning, sunny but threatening skies, just off Bailey Hill Road at the Wild Iris Ridge Trailhead parking lot for a morning of ditch and culvert cleaning. Our group of volunteers picked tools out of the back of my pickup and headed up the trail. Our large group made short work of clearing the drainage ditches of built up duff and sprouted plants. We enjoyed clear skies until we finished our work and began heading back down the trail when we experienced the remaining Spring weather from rain to hail, sleet, and snow. We arrived back at the trailhead to enjoy lemonade and cookies.
