Description:

I am hoping to do this as a day mission, leaving the Green Lakes Trailhead Early on Saturday Morning of the 12th. The route is relatively straight forward with a classic amount of Cascade choss, a few low 5th class moves (5.0 ish) and then a fun walk over an exposed narrow catwalk. Makes for a great day out with great views of the Sisters! We can discuss sleeping at the trailhead or meeting and carpooling early on the 12th as we get closer.

Trip Report

A small but scrappy crew of 5 left from the Green Lakes Trailhead at 5:45 AM with the goal of climbing Broken Top. Smokey skies threatened to ruin the fun, but were thankfully whisked away, and a blue sky was left in their place. Upon climbing the small 5th class step and traversing the catwalk we were awarded with mountain views as far north as Mt Adams. A solid group with lots of laughs led to a fun day out in the mountains!
