Patterson. Mt, noted for wildflowers and the Lone Wolf Shelter. If the sky is clear you can see the Sisters from the top. The trip takes us up Hwy 58. We turn off on a logging road for about 8 miles. The last time I drove this road it was in good shape.

Trip Report

Turned out this trip was neither to hot or to cold. Beautiful day, great views of all Three Sisters and Broken Top. We probably caught the tail end of the wildflowers for this elevation. Paint Brush, Queens Cup, Bunchberry and Beargrass to name a few. A few others and not many of any of them. Lone Wolf Shelter, remains in good shape. The trail is clear with no downed trees to climb over. The trail surface is dry and in good shape. Two groups of bikers on the trail but the timing was perfect one was leaving as we arrived and the second was arriving when we’re almost back to the cars.

The June Bulletin is online now.
