Trip Report

it was wonderful to see the high king tide at its height. During winter season, it is difficult to get a beach walk in, but not to worry. South Beach State Park had another enjoyable hike which protected us from the high tide and wind. We stayed in South Beach most of our time for dinner and the outstanding tour of OSU's Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building, state of the art tsunami/earthquake building, only one of three on the west coast. We cut our trip short due to concerns about weather conditions on the way back.
