Description:

This should be a nice fall hike up to a great viewpoint. I'm not a fan of hiking in the rain so this trip will be cancelled if the weather forecast doesn't improve. Some of us will be stopping at Takodas after the hike.

Trip Report

Fall hikes are always a gamble with the weather. This day's hike turned out to be dry but cool and cloudy; the condensation on the brush gave most people soaked pants and shoes in the morning. Even with the clouds the view from the 6200 foot peak of Maxwell Butte was beautiful. After the hike most of our group stopped at Takodas for a well earned dinner.
