Description:

City of Eugene, Park and Open Space hosting a “Free the Forest” volunteer day in Hendriks Park.
Obsidians together with other volunteer groups will work on ivy removal and some other projects depending on team’s interests.

Please meet the group at Hendriks Park parking lot, corner of Fairmount Blvd. and Floral Hill Dr.
We will work 9AM to noon.

Trip Report

It was a crisp 36°F morning when five Obsidians met up with five other community enthusiasts at Hendricks Park.
We planted two dozen ferns on a gentle slope along the west trail, then pulled-out a truckload of invasive English ivy from the same area. The weather was perfect, except for a short graupel shower.
