Description:

This hike goes through mature timber, rocky cliffs and along beautiful Brice and Trestle Creeks. The upper loop has a few challenges, with some tricky windfalls causing difficult crossings. Participants need to be comfortable with climbing down, up and over these sections. The trail goes behind Upper Trestle Falls, with slippery rocks and steep trail sections. It's a beautiful area. This is a lollipop hike that will start and end at LundPark Trailhead.

Trip Report

Trestle Falls Loop is joyful any time of year. We enjoyed a gentle mist, trees shrouded in fog and visible snow not far above us. Even though I had scouted a week ago, we encountered a new large windfall that required a scramble up and over. Everyone enjoyed the challenge. We encountered no other hikers while meandering along Trestle and Brice Creek. Bird chirps and stream gurgles were the only sounds. Snow Queen was visible along the trail.
