Description:
This spectacular trail starts at the top & descends to the Deschutes River, which it then parallels for about a mile before looping back up to the parking lot. Warning – there is a steep slippery 30’ gravelly stretch on the way down {take small steps & carry 1 or 2 walking sticks}; also there is one boulder along the river that looks more daunting than it is. If my 80-year-old bones can do it, so can yours. The views, including the Sisters, the rock outcroppings & the river itself are beautiful. On the way back, we can opt to stop at Clear Lake and/or Sahalie Falls.
