Description:

We will park at Buck Bridge off the Mckenzie Highway. This is about 2 miles above Belknap Hot Springs. We will hike (moderate pace) to Deer Creek and then hike back to Buck Bridge. This is a beautiful stretch of the McKenzie River through old growth forest where the trail is on the north side of the river not the highway side.
Suggested compensation to drivers is $11.22

Trip Report

It was a glorious fall day on the McKenzie River. This is a nice fairly flat stretch of the river through lush ferns and old growth forest. We had lunch on the river at Deer Creek and then turned around for the trek home. All in all a great day.
