Description:
Meet at 20th and Lawrence St., on the east side of Washington Park. We will meander around College Hill, past several houses built in the 1800s and early 1900s. For info on College Hill history see: https://www.eugene-or.gov/DocumentCenter/View/12588/Brief-History-and-Walking-Tour-of-College-Hill. Then walk down toward the Fairgrounds and Museum, again noting multiple old homes. The Museum opens at 10 and admission is free, donations are appreciated. We will stay maybe 45 minutes before returning via back alleys east of Friendly St. (For those who want a longer walk, I will leave from the parking lot at 24th and Amazon at 8:30 - this adds about a mile each way. Let me know if you want to meet me there.)
