Green Island Education Walk
-
Start date: 12/10/2024
-
Start time: 8:30 AM
Description:
Join us for a walking tour of Green Island sponsored by WREN as part of their monthly "Wetland Wander" program. Holly McRae of the McKenzie River Trust will lead the tour of the Green Island conservation area just west of Coburg. Holly will discuss the property's history, restoration, ongoing stewardship activities, and how participants can get involved. This two-mile walking tour will occur on flat gravel roads and mowed paths, rain or shine.
We will meet in the Office Depot parking lot across from Costco on Chad Drive at 8:30 to carpool to Green Island. Suggested carpool donation $1.50. After the tour, depending on the interest of the group, we may stop for a warm drink at the Blue Valley Bistro in Coburg.
