Trip Report

Oh what a glorious day to start the snowshoe season! Cloud cover, upper 30s to low 40s, 30 inches of snow, and off to the Odell Overlook. 12 happy trekkers tromped uphill on CJ Way to the overlook following the meandering trails. Odell Lake , Lakeview Mountain and Odell Butte had that gray look with the cloud cover. Diamond Peak was snow covered and beautiful. We continued south along the PCT and up the Westview trail to Westview Shelter for lunch. The day was complete with the downhill trek to the Gold Lake Sno-park. We felt good to have trekked about 4 miles on a lovely day in the snowy mountains.
