Description:

Join us for a walk through the winter garden. Slow pace for wandering and wondering. There will be color! We'll meet at the Wilkins Shelter and walk a winding, wooded path to the Rhododendron garden. Meandering through the gardens, we'll see what's in bloom. For anyone looking for extra mileage, we can head over to the trails in the forest.

Trip Report

The day was pretty cold and cloudy but Obsidians are a hardy bunch. And Hendricks Park? Always changing and simply amazing. In bloom were Edgeworthia, Sarcococca, Crimson Flag Lily, Viburnum, Silk Tassle, Pieris Japonica, Wintersweet, and Camelias. Colors of white, salmon, red, yellow - along with sweet and spicy scents. We\'ll be doing this stroll again.
