Yoran Lake Ski Trip

Description:

Let's ski to Yoran Lake! Start at Gold Lake Sno-Park and ski out the PCT past Midnight, Arrowhead and Hidden Lakes. At some point, leave the PCT and head directly to Yoran Lake. Plan for lunch at Yoran Lake and return. Reaching Yoran requires good conditions. If conditions aren't favorable, we will settle for one of the closer lakes.

Trip Report

Making the trek to Yoran Lake is always an iffy proposition. On this day, stormy weather and trail breaking effort made Arrowhead Lake feel like the right goal. So after lunch at Arrowhead, and a lap around the lake through deep snow, we returned by making the loop past Bechtel Shelter on the way back to the cars. We skied eight and a half miles and throughly enjoyed the outing.
