Amanda’s Trail & Oregon Coast Trail
-
Start date: 01/12/2025
-
Start time: 7:30 AM
Description:
Description: Begin the hike at the south end of Ocean Drive in Yachats. The first 1.1 mile of the trail to the Amanda statue is moderate. It then rises steeply in spots for the next 1.9 miles to a stone shelter, our turn-around. Some of the footing is difficult, with roots, etc. but not dangerous. There are several interesting features along this trail, and fine viewpoints of the ocean & coastline. The pace will be slow to moderate; expect to be 4-5 hours on the trail. The day is forecast to be mostly sunny & high of 48. We should have time after hiking for coffee in Yachats & sight-seeing along the coast.
