Trip Report

9 happy snowshoers enjoyed a cold and sunny day as we meandered along Gold Lake Road and over to the Marilyn Lakes Trail. Every tree and twig was snow covered and beautiful as we trekked between Upper and Lower Marilyn Lakes to arrive at the Gold Lake Shelter. Gathering on the bridge for lunch placed us in the sun. Blue jays and scrub jays flew in to check us out. We headed through the campground to the shore of Gold Lake, then back to the sno-park following the road. We covered 5.5 miles for our efforts and had a sparkling day in the mountains.
