Ribbon to Moon

Description:

Meet at the Ribbon Trailhead, Spring St. at 30th (north side of the overpass at 30th, on street parking), at 8:30. We will visit some or all of Bloomberg Park, Black Oak Basin, Coryell Ridge, and Moon Mountain. The walk may take up to three hours and we will be finished well before lunch. Trails are rough and unimproved with unavoidable muddy sections, which will be frozen early and may remain so depending on how sunny the day gets. Natural restrooms only.

Trip Report

Nice day. Visited all four named park areas in less than three hours with multiple stops to chat. Ground mostly frozen so not much mud. Trails in good shape with mowing and other clearing done last summer. It was more like 1000 ft elevation.
