Description:

It looks like another window of opportunity for a snowshoe trip before the end of the season. We'll park at the Ray Benson Sno Park and hike a loop to the Brandenburg Shelter. Some of us may be stopping at Takoda's Restaurant after the trip. Drivers don't forget your snow park permit.

Trip Report

A spring-like day greeted the five Obsidians who drove up to Ray Benson Sno Park for a snowshoe trek into Brandenberg Shelter. While lacking in powder, there was still plenty of snow along with blue skies and warm temperatures for our trip into the Shelter. During our lunch we enjoyed great views of both Jack and Mt. Washington. After lunch we looped back to the parking lot for a total trek of about 6 miles. A stop at Takoda\'s Restaurant on the way home made for a great day.
