UO Pioneers, Scholars & Rogues Walk
-
Start date: 09/05/2025
-
Start time: 12:05 PM
Description:
This is a low-key, 2-hour walk through UO's 150-year-long history.
I have been working on a walking 'tour' about the enduring impact of pioneers, scholars, and rogues who have shaped the character of the UO campus in both creative and surprising ways. I'd like to share what I have learned so far. Please bring your own UO stories.
We will be making stops at Hayward Hall and the Museum of Natural History. There is no admission at Hayward Hall. The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is free today (the first Friday of the month). There will be several water and restroom stops along the way.
The walk begins at the corner of 12th and Kincaid at 12:05 pm (just north of the Duck Store and the LTD bus stops). The walk will end at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Plan for 2 hours, though feel free to step away at any time. The walk will proceed rain or shine.
