Forest Ranch Walking Tour

Approximately 2 1/2 mile circuit easy walk in the land the Eugene Parks Foundation i(EPF) is acquiring to turn over to the City of Eugene Parks Department at a future date. Beautiful diverse forest and fields in the Spencer Creek watershed. John Winquist of the EPF will be on hand to describe the history of the land. Meet by 9:15 AM at Wayne Morse Ranch parking lot in order to minimize number of vehicles due to very limited parking (no parking at Spencer Creek Grange)

Trip Report

John Winquist of the Eugene Parks Foundation (EPF) and Maureen Hudson and her collie Lochlan greeted us at the trailhead for this rare enchanting preview of future City of Eugene parkland. For most, this was the first visit, and exclamations of delight filled the cool air. Our guides shared the natural and human history of the 73 acres and how it will fit into the EPF\\\'s vision of trails encircling Eugene.
