Brice Creek to Upper Trestle Falls to Champion Creek car shuttle
-
Start date: 12/07/2025
-
Start time: 8:00 AM
Description:
This is a car shuttle hike to see the best of Brice Creek from the low elevation at the west end, through the beautiful creek side forest climbing to Upper Trestle Falls, before descending and finishing off at Champion Creek. We will plan to DEPART FROM LCC ON THE 7th AT 8:00 AM.
It will be wet and slippery, especially on some of the rocks with big leaf maple leaves on them. If it rains, it will be wetter and slipperier. Poles are a strong recommendation, along with rain gear, gloves, suitable foot gear, food and water, first aid kit, the usual....
We need 3 vehicles if we have 9 sign up. For 10-12 we need 4 vehicles. If we don’t have enough vehicles we will have to limit the signups. I’ve worked this trail a lot, and several others know it better than I. Shuttle hikes avoid the out and back hikes, and it has been almost 10 years since I led one, but I think I can get it right.
If you are coming from Cottage Grove, please let me know. I would have you go ahead and meet at the west end by the bridge at your convenience. We should be there from Eugene by 845-900.
The rest I am assuming are coming from LCC. ALL DRIVERS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW MANY YOU CAN TAKE. The distance of the shuttle is 6.2 miles.
