Trip Report

Little things gave us joy. Being at 5000 feet with snow everywhere and a flawless blue sky gave us unlimited joy. The 12 adventurers trekked up to the Odell Overlook with incredible views of Odell Lake, Lakeview Mountain, Diamond Peak and the surrounding area. As we headed along the PCT, a challenge occured when we had to navigate under or around a large windfall. Success for all! The Westview Shelter was inviting with an earlier guest sitting by the fire he started. It was a lovely lunch time with a fire, laughter, good food, cookies and chocolate. The last portion led us back to the Sno-park along a well used snow covered road. Leading this group gave me joy.
