Trip Report

For this Wednesday evening outing we met at the Willamette and 52nd Trailhead parking lot to work independently to brush the trail sides of the Ridgeline. We had a lively debate on the utility of the weed cutters because based on their looks they don't look like they will work very well. All doubters were pleasantly surprised that against soft stemmed plants they work exceptionally well. Thankfully most of the plants we encountered fell into the soft stemmed category. We hiked in about half way to the Tie Trail junction and worked our way back out to the switchbacks. We also pruned back some overhanging poison oak.

Special thanks go to Janet for bringing energy balls and post outing treats and to Clara for cutting back blackberries around the trailhead and picking up litter.
