REI is Moving – Walk

This is a walk from the former REI building to the new location, and back!
Park anywhere in the area of the former REI building. There is parking on Lawrence Street.
Meet in front of the former REI building in Eugene (REI, Eugene Planing Mill Bldg, 306 Lawrence St, Eugene, OR 97401). We will say our goodbyes to this location (yet hopeful that something really cool will move in!). Then, we will make our way to the riverwalk (southside) trail and continue to the DeFazio footbridge and cross over the river. We will walk on the riverwalk (northside) to McMinamins North Bank, continuing a few hundred feet on Country Club, then walk under the 105 to Southwood. Expect several street crossings at these intersections. On Southwood, we walk about 600 feet to the side street, Fairway Loop, which will take us to Oakway Center and REI.
The walk one-way will require about an hour. We will have an hour at REI/Oakway to explore on your own, then a one-hour walk back as a group. We should return by Noon. The walk goes rain or shine.
