Description:

Meet at the Jerry's Home Improvement Center Parking Lot in north Eugene. Meet on the north side, closest to Theona Avenue and Highway 99. We will carpool (about 10 minutes) to the Camas Country Bakery & Store, where you have the option to relax and enjoy a coffee, a cinnamon roll, or some soup and sourdough. If the historic schoolhouse is open, we will peek inside to learn more. About 12 pm, we will make our way to the Oregon Air & Space Museum (also about a 10-minute drive). Plan to spend between 45 minutes to an hour at the museum. The return drive to Jerry’s is about 5 minutes. We will return to Jerry’s latest by 1:30 pm.

The Oregon Air and Space Museum (OASM) is located at the Eugene Airport. OASM is dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, and display of aircraft and artifacts depicting the history of aviation and space technology. Displays include an A-6 Intruder, A-4 Skyhawk, MIG-17, J-2 Cub, and T-34 Mentor, and various space-related displays.

Visiting OASM is exploratory for the trip leader.
