Thurston Hills

Description:

We will meet at the Thurston Hills Natural Area, North trailhead parking lot off Main Street/Highway 126 east of Springfield. Slow down when you see the Springfield Memorial Cemetery on the right and a church on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is just past the cemetery on the right and easy to miss.

The hike will use the trail system built by Willamalane Parks & Recreation District and then continue on what used to be called Weyerhauser/Haul Road to its end at Bob Straub Parkway. We will hike one direction and have several cars at the trail end for car pooling back to the trail head.

Logistics for trips which end at a different place than where they start are more complicated than usual. If you sign up for this trip, you are committing to showing up unless there is an emergency.
